Organizational effectiveness and efficiency depends on the organizational capabilities to sustain and develop in the competitive market. The organizations have to analyse the various aspects of business and have to make significant change in all the aspects of the business at various stages of development. The organizational performance depends on various internal elements and its ability to respond to the external forces such as competition, economic, political and social conditions. The internal elements influencing the organizational performance include structure, culture, systems and human resource. Any changes in the external environment has a direct impact on the strategies and decisions made by the organization, which needs to be changed in order to sustain in and face the challenges, which it brings. The internal inefficiency reduces the competency of the organization, which might not allow it to formulate and implement effective strategies or carry out its processes effectively. The changes demanded by the external force should be brought effectively in order to sustain and develop. Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources (MRMWR) is and organization, which is responsible for urban development and provision of clean water to all the citizens in the region. The organization also sets the policies and programs for the municipality and water services sector. MRMWR did not face any external challenges since it’s a government organization and does not have any competition or face any serious issues from the political and economic condition of the country. But the company due to its organizational structure faces internal issues, which has led to inefficiency in several of their projects and processes. The report discusses the business issue faced by the organization and analyses the factors that led to the issue. The report also provides recommendations to overcome the identified factors enabling the organization to enhance its organizational performance.
