Organizational performance get influenced by the changes in the business environment and hence organizations constantly have to analyse the environmental conditions both external and internal. The external environment involves factors such as consumer needs and expectations, competition, socio-economic factor. The internal environment involves factors such as structure, system, strategy and human resource. The changes in the external environment force changes in the internal environment, which if ignored the organization would not be able to sustain. For example, in an increased competition environment if the organization continues to use the old strategies it might not be able to sustain the competition and might face huge loss in the business and also face financial losses. Organization’s hence need to constantly change its strategies depending on the external forces as well as depending on its performance in the market. To change the strategy it needs to have a conducive structure and culture, which provides required resources and support to the organization to implement new strategies. Thus, there are several internal elements, which influence organizational performance and act as stimulants or barriers for change implementation. Abraj Energy Services SAOC is one of the well-establishes oil and gas production company in Oman. The company due to its good infrastructure has attracted many customers but has been facing issues of high employee turnover and inefficiency in the systems. The report analyses the factors leading to the business issue in Abraj Energy Service SAOC and provides recommendations to overcome the issues.
