You are required to take on the role as Revenue Manager and to develop the strategies for the hotel: the current situation and how it may be improved. You are to prepare a report, addressed to General Manager, to expressing your findings.
Description
This report answers the following questions on the case study -
The GM has asked you to specifically answer the below questions:
• Analyse the current situation:
• Looking at the Budgets provide for 2013 and 2014, review of how the Hotel is currently performing, consider each of the Hotels main segments and cost centres.
• Gather information provided on their competitive set. Provide an analysis of the Hotel compared to its closes competitors in Adelaide; consider such things as price, size, facilities, and occupancy (if possible). Comment on the variances within the set.
• Identify and summarize potential market segments for the Hotel. Your report should include an assessment of how the Hotel could measurement of segment profitability. Research the competitive set.
• Develop a Revenue management strategy for the Hotel
• From a revenue managers perspective suggest ideas of how you can total revenue, for the hotel's accommodation areas. Indicate what additional information you would need to establish the feasibility of these suggestions. Develop a pricing strategy
• Develop some suggestions for revenue management of the non-room areas. Indicate what additional information you would need to establish the feasibility of these suggestions and how they can add to the overall revenue of the Hotel
