For the purpose of this paper, the chosen leader is Tony Fernandes from Air Asia. This airline organization mainly caters to Malaysia and South-East Asian continent regions (Air Asia, 2014). The company under the leadership of Mr. Fernandes has been successful in not only expanding its operations in a relatively short span of time but also has been capable of dealing with intense competition present within the industry. This study tries to explore and understand the various aspects of leadership qualities and styles adopted by Tony Fernandes in Air Asia through various models and frameworks in the available literature.
