Description
Herpes Simplex is a viral disease which is caused two ways. One by Herpes Simplex Virus and it has two types of it (HSV-1) and (HSV-2). These two species of herpes virus comes from the family of Herpesviridae. These cause infections in human body and some life long infections also. They are neurotropic and neuroinvasive viruses and enter in a human body to hide in the nervous system looking for a long term durability. Infection caused by herpes virus is usually categorized into several unique disorders based on the type of infection it has caused. Oral herpes causes cold sores and infects the mouth and face of a human being. It is one of the most common forms of infection in human being. The second most common form of Herpes is Genital Herpes and it also causes various other disorders at various parts of a human body (McGeoch, Rixon, Davison, 2006).
A Herpes virus comes in a cycle between the active period of any disease in the form of a small blister containing the virus and this blister remains active from two to twenty one days, post which the sore disappears. Some soars keep coming back. It has been observed by medical science that after the initial infection, the viruses caused by this soars move to sensory nerves of a human body and resides there life-long. Our discussions in this paper are mostly about HSV-2 and that is the genital infection primarily. This is found mostly in the US but not restricted to any geography rather the style of living is most significant in this case (McGeoch, Rixon, Davison, 2006).
