Description
Love can be a powerful emotion between romantically attached individuals. In order to love another person, a certain criteria of ‘ideal-type’ is needed for the construction of romantic love. Hence, Intimacy and romantic love is very much interconnected to the ideal- type, a sociological concept that was articulated by Max Weber. Although the ideal-type was articulated by Weber as sociological tool, its general abstract idea can be used to analyze a vast array of social and economic occurrences. This essay connects the ‘ideal-type’ to a romantic or intimate relationship.
