Description
This study is based on the strategic management of a company named Bapco. An overview of the company is given in the study along with the Swat method used in the company. In this regard some well known models such as Value chain analysis, Porter’s Value chain, The VRIO framework analysis is given in this study in connection with the company and the strategies it follow in order to be successful. In this part a synopsis about what the topic is dealing with is discussed in brief. Bapco is an oil manufacturing company which has started its operations from 1932.Apart from manufacturing oil, Bapco deals with distribution and refinement of petroleum products and natural gas. It also deals with the export and import of refined products and crude oil. The sectors that Bapco deals with are refining, exploration, production, storage training and development, marketing and environmental initiatives. Then this study also includes the Swat method applied by the company. Swat or Swift Worksite Assessment and translation have been developed by CDC to assess the health promotion practices that different companies adopt for their employees. After assessing the various models as mentioned above in connection with the company the study comes to an end with recommendations about how the company can improve its functions in accordance with the models and how it can be beneficial for the company and its employees in the long run.
