Description
This report aims to analyze the performance measurement system at Hindalco Industries Limited, on the basis of the data available publicly. Hindalco Industries Limited is the metals flagship company of the “Aditya Birla Group”. The major breakthrough in its history occurred in 2007, when it acquired Novelis, that catapulted its position to the league of top five aluminum majors worldwide and it also became the largest vertically-integrated aluminum giant in India.
Post its acquisition of Novelis, skeptics were dubious of the benefits of the deal and apprehended that the deal would lead to a decline in the company’s performance. However, three years post the deal Hindalco Industries claims to have been successfully able to initiate the process of reaping the deal’s benefits. Thus, this report aims to analyze the validity of the above claim in line with the performance attributes.
