Description

Operations management is the control and monitoring of various activities carried out to transform input resources to finished products or services. The effective management of operations enables organization to use the allotted resource effectively and transform them in to products or services, which carry increased value. The resources include people, knowledge, raw materials, machineries and technology. Operations management involves various processes such as product or service design, process design, supply chain management, inventory management, capacity planning and several others. The report critically analyzes three main decision areas in the operations management of Ministry of Education (MoE), Oman. The report then analyzes its influence on the other business areas and finally provides recommendations for improvisation in the respective areas.
