Creativity is an inherent trait of any human being. It is the due to the creative ideas that human civilization has grown to be at this stage of technological advancement, health care and increased comforts. Creativity and innovation are essential to business organizations too. Businesses cannot continue to have the same strategic advantage and market leadership if they do not adopt creativity and innovation as a way of life. This is for the simple reason that market dynamics and customer preferences keep changing all the time and it is through creative and innovative efforts that organizations are able to meet the ever changing market needs. Globalization has also brought with it its own set of challenges. The companies catering to the domestic markets are often faced with the challenges of competing with established international brands. In order to do so, the local companies need to have differentiation to showcase themselves as unique and as such can attract a dedicated segment of customers. It is therefore, through the creativity and innovation organizations are able to compete even in the toughest of the markets. The report discusses the organizational climate and its initiatives to encourage creativity and innovation at the workplace, of the organization, where the author this report is currently working. The report in the second half provides a reflective account of learning experience of the author, while going through the module of creativity and innovation.
