In today’s highly competitive world it is necessary for the companies to do everything and move out of their comfort zones to gain competitive advantage. Innovation and use of science and technology is the way forward for the companies if they have to succeed in competitive market. One of the ways to gain competitive advantage over competitors in today’s world is to implement information systems.
This report is aimed at analyzing the RTE’s business situation and advice on information systems. In order to do so, information system is first defined. The various benefits and working of information systems is explained. The various information systems that RTE could implement and the processes that could be computerized are discussed. The ethical and security concerns are addressed. The report is concluded by recommendations to RTE.
