This case study is about the world renowned chocolate manufacturing company, the Thornton’s. It played a major role in the UK chocolate markets and was known for the taste and freshness of its chocolates. This case study focuses on the growth and development of this company and how it failed due to economical constrains that came in its way. The main factors contributed to its economic downturn were its knowledge backwardness in terms of effective production and sales and promotion of the product.
