Description
There are many people linked to the organization that have interest in organizational performance and outcomes to varying degrees. A business exists and functions out of collective contributions in terms of investments, skills, knowledge, time, efforts etc. All these people, institutes that are contributing to the existence and functioning of business called stakeholders, would be interested in the outcomes of the business to varying degrees. The company management needs to deal with or treat these people or institutions to the impact they have on the organizational processes and outcomes. The organization needs to be equally responsive to stakeholders’ expectations and sensitivities as much as it is towards achieving its business goals. The paper discusses stakeholder analysis and stakeholder mapping from a theoretical perspective. The paper then does stakeholder analysis and mapping as applied to the University of Essex.
