Description
Every organization or institution has supervisors at every level who supervise the job activities of the members working under them and coordinate their activities to enable to achieve the desired goals of the organization (Gray et al., 2010). Supervision involves ensuring that every task carried out by a team is done as required and directing the activities to the personnel engaged in nursing practice and ensure that they carry out their services safely, efficiently and with compassionate care (Buchbinder & Shanks, 2016). This report analyses the concept of supervision in the gynecology ward where the author of this report works. The report discusses the criteria for a supervisor in this ward, the influence of change in the workplace on supervision and factors, which encourage effective supervision.
