Description
Healthcare systems are being identified as complex system as it involves increased number of agencies having distinct roles and responsibilities (Buchbinder & Shanks, 2016). The interactions between the stakeholders are dynamic, non-linear and multifaceted and hence are difficult for policy-makers to anticipate the processes (Birmingham, 2006). Hospital discharge process is one such process, which involves network of diverse and heterogeneous stakeholders requiring different level of interactions at different times. This report discusses policy development and implementation for discharge process in a hospital.
