Description
Interpretation is one of the most effective and powerful communication process in accomplishing management objectives of providing a great experience to the visitors of parks, historic sites etc. Interpretive approach enables the visitors to understand the meanings and relationships of the cultural and natural heritage more effectively and does not provide just the facts. As per Tilden’s principle, the interpretation can be used to catch the attention of the visitors, relate the message to everyday life of visitors, provide unique viewpoint of a particular subject and use different cues to create a particular theme, mood or aura (Tilden, 2008). The paper discusses the management issue faced in dealing with the local heritage sites. The paper also outlines the interpretive solution, which can be used to overcome the issues.
