This report is based on the following requirement -
Background
Information systems play an important part in every organisation and are especially important to medium to large corporations. You are a consultant working for, TechCorp Pty Ltd, an IT solutions company that has been contracted by a medium sized corporation to provide an overall reporting solution that is able to generate daily reports for them.
Objective:
As the first step in creating this reporting and analysis solution, an initial presentation of the solution is required. Your task is to create a report to present the proposed solution. The report should cover the methods in which the data can be stored and managed and tools that can be used for analysis. The lecturer / unit assessor for the unit will be acting as the client’s representative who will evaluate your business concept and will require you to identify major key concepts of your proposal.
Scope:
Since this is an initial proposal, there is no need to have a copious amount of detail with regards to the structure of the database. You will however be required to discuss at least 3 methods of data management; together with a comparison of each to one another (references are required).
Accordingly, your report should start with an introduction to Business Intelligence solutions, how they would be of use to the client, and conclude with your recommendation of which approach would be the most suitable.
