Description
Data are highly essential to be managed and they can be of different types with different level of importance. Data are needed for making important decisions and this makes it essential that they should be stored in an organised way so that their retrieval can be ensured in a positive way. Such data can be stored in an organised way in a database. A database is therefore a collection of data in an organised way that facilitates the users in making the most appropriate use of them. Database facilitates businesses with the opportunity to manage important data and thereby in assisting managers in performing their roles and responsibilities efficiently. As a result, the purpose of this literature search is to example a specific area related to businesses i.e. managing customers. The literature search seeks to analyse the ways in which database helps businesses in managing their customers.
In order to analyse the role played by databases in performing the management of customers, the research hypothesis that has been considered appropriate is indicated below:
Ho: The role of database management is significantly higher especially in respect to managing the relations with the customer.
Ha: The role of database management is not significantly higher especially in respect to managing the relations with the customer.
