Description
Operations management can be defined as the control, monitoring and guiding of the transformation activities in an organization that convert inputs to the organization such as raw materials, finance, technology and skills into usable products or services to the customer. Supply chain management is a part of organization’s operations and plays an important role in ensuring the effective use of all the resources. The inefficiency in supply chain can lead to increased operational costs, delay in product delivery and business loss. Oman Liquefied Natural Gas LLC (Oman LNG) is well-established company, which is in to producing and selling of liquefied natural gas and the by-products. But due to inefficiency in the supply chain has not been able to make on-time delivery, maintain the inventory effectively and flow of information is very poor. These issues can be overcome by replacing its old systems with ERP system, which integrates all the data and integrates all stakeholders enhancing the flow of information resulting in effective inventory control and on-time delivery of the products.
