Description
Organization’s reputation and success depends on its competencies and its ability to respond to the changes in the external and internal environment. Organization’s by being highly responsive to the changes in the market condition enables it to sustain and have a competitive edge in the market. Some of the external environmental factors include increasing customer needs and expectations, competition, changes in business regulations, changes in political and economic systems. The internal environmental factors include the structure, culture, processes, human resource, leadership approach etc. In spite of the favourable external environment it is essential for organizations to analyse the internal environment and identify the factors, which can add further value to the organization if changed to a certain level. Oman Oil Company SAOC is a government owned commercial oil producing company. The company does not face issues by any external environmental factors but the internal environmental factors are influencing its performance, which has to be addressed to continue with its success and profitability. The Part A of the report analyses the factors leading to the internal inefficiency, which in long run can lead to financial and business loss. The report then provides recommendations to overcome the identified issues. Part B of the report provides the literature review of the management frameworks used to identify the factors leading to the issue and the recommendations. The report includes in the end, a reflective account of the experiences that the author of this report has gone through.
