Organizational performance depends on efficiency of different internal elements and one of them is its leadership style. The leadership style enables organization to establish effective business strategies, practices and business processes and influence the leaders and followers within the organization to work towards achieving the shared vision. Organizational leadership approach varies from one organization others and is highly influenced by the values, beliefs, attitude and behavior of the top leaders. The leadership style continues to be maintained by the subsequent leaders and employees, which enables organization to carry out its processes effectively. The leadership approach enables organization to apply effective strategies and take advantage of the opportunities in the respective industry. This report critically analyzes the leadership style of National Bank of Oman (NBO) against the best practices and provides recommendations for further improvements.
