Description
Strategy refers to set of tasks and decision making processes related to business opportunities, which would enable organizations to achieve their desired objectives and ensure effective organizational performance and sustainability (Gaddis, 2018). Effective strategy planning involves analyzing the external and internal environmental conditions and making informed projections about the influence of environmental realities on the processes and respond to the environmental factors that influence the business performance (Rumelt, 2017). Oman Air is the flagship carrier of Sultanate of Oman and an Official 4 Star Airline (Jones, 2015). It has played an important role in making Muscat an important traffic hub in Middle East. It supports industrial, commercial and tourism sectors (Oman Air, 2019). It operates direct flights from Muscat to several cities in Gulf Region, has flights to India, European destinations, few Asian countries and domestic destinations that include Salalah, Duqum and Khasab (Oman Air, 2019). This report analyzes the strategic issues faced by Oman Air and provides recommendations to overcome the strategic issues.
