Operations management is one of the most important functions in every organization since it oversees all the processes and activities involved in manufacturing a product. Operations include the activities right from the procurement of the materials to the distribution of the finished product. Siemens is one of the leading companies in the world for providing solutions and services in the infrastructure development, energy and healthcare. Its Oman operations though has effective functioning but lacks the efficiency in supply chain due to lack of initiatives in updating the systems. The report discusses the issues in the supply chain management at Siemens and provides the recommendations to overcome those issues.
