This report is based on the following requirement - - Background
- In recent years there has been what appears an increasing degree of criminal involvement in sporting domains. Most recently in Australia we have had a significant degree of speculation as to the level of organized crime targeting sporting codes in relation to drugs. Internationally we have seen major criminal investigations into soccer and cricket with regards match fixing and gambling. There appears to be an increased level of targeting of sporting codes by organized crime.
- Task
- Select a sporting code (cricket or soccer), national or international and prepare an intelligence assessment on the degree of criminal targeting or exploitation of the code.
- Your assessment should determine the vulnerabilities of the code to criminal exploitation, the degree to which exploitation is occurring or any potential for exploitation.
- You should utilize all information sources available.
- Most important part is to create an intelligence assessment (whether the trend of all the activities like match fixing, gambling etcetera will increase , decrease or remain constant) which will be based on the evidences presented in the report.
- Note: cover the task (i.e intelligence assessment) and background is just to set the background of the report.
- Your assessment should consist of at least 16 pages and written in report format.
