Description

This needs assessment report will help in determining the health issues of the Gold Coast City area population aged 18-55. This report is based on the normative, perceived, expressed and comparative needs of the area.
These research areas include normative needs, which are identified from field experts; perceived needs which are identified by members of the community; expressed needs, which are determined through the observation of the use of services for/within the target community; and comparative needs, which is derived by comparisons of health problems and health services of similar communities in similar demographic/geographical locations (Kettner, Moroney and Martin, 2008, Petersen and Alexander, 2001, ACT Health Promotion, 2008).
