This assignment provides answer to the following question –
Provide a report on what are the environmental health priorities of the Torres Strait Islands (provide reasons) including background of the situation, what has been done and recommendations for a response to the environmental health situation.
Areas to be considered are infrastructure, nutrition, disease management, extreme weather events, climate change, rising sea level, ocean degradation and pollution. Apart from physical environment, emotional environment can also be considered.
The recommendations for a response should bear in mind the geography, history and culture of the people of the Torres Strait Islands.
