Executive Summary
Organizational creativity and innovation are ideas given to a certain group of people by their mangers, all working in the same organization. It should be promoted as this would help in the development of the company by improving the employees’ level of creativity. But there are certain barriers in the practice of Organizational creativity and innovation. This report discusses about the importance of having creativity and innovation in an organization. Creative work environment, motivation, providing proper tools, creating innovation teams, might help in increasing productivity in the Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). Creativity and Innovation in PDO can be enhanced by the process of CPS and ORIP by evaluating climate in PDO, the impact of creative leadership by the leaders of PDO on innovation.
Description
Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), owned by the government of Oman is an exploration and production company. The majority of the country’s crude oil and natural gas is produced and supplied by the Company. Critical Evaluation of the workplace in terms of groups and support of organizations for the level of creativity and innovation is considered here. This will be done by applying climate models and by considering creative leadership and creative Human Resource Management in promoting creative and innovative behaviour. There are certain barriers in the practice of Organizational creativity and innovation (Puccio et al., 2011). This report discusses about the importance of having creativity and innovation in an organization.
