Description
The industrial world having grown into a major force in the past few centuries has led to corporations having tremendous power. With the potential of such power, there is a possibility that corporations can exert these powers in ways that are now in favor or answerable to the society. This gave rise to the debate of how to keep the corporations under check and be responsible. Various ideas where born out of this debate and one major idea or concept is the stakeholder theory. Stakeholder theory makes a corporation responsible to those who are directly or indirectly involved with the company.
