As the economy has shifted from manufacturing to service one, it has been observed that human capital has become very important in running a business. One needs to study the factors which can really motivate the workforce so that they can give better productivity in the long run. Here we are going to discuss and compare two theories of needs, namely Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory of motivation and Herzberg’s two-factor theory of motivation.
