Description

Operations management refers to the transformation of input resources to the desired output. Operations management involves controlling and directing of the processes involves in transforming the inputs, which are in terms of raw materials and human resource in to finished products or services. The management of operations includes different set of activities, which are interrelated and include raw material procurement, inventory management, supply chain management, product and service design, and process design and quality management (Hill & Hill, 2012).
