Description
In order to keep pace with the rising competitive and globalised world, it is vital to examine the business environment of each firm. Business environment consists of all external and internal factors that have an effect in business both in the short run and long run. External factors may include political, macroeconomic, microeconomic, social and technological aspects of a firm or industry. Whereas internal factors include organizational cultures, policies of a business, methods of production, management information systems, managerial attitudes and human resource techniques (Pujari, 2015). External factors are not in the control of a business while internal factors are in the control of business and can affect the business operations. The current study focuses on to analyze the business environment of a telecommunication industry in UAE that is actively developing its network to enable people to develop, learn and grow. Telecommunication sector in UAE is under the control and supervision of HYPERLINK "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telecommunications_Regulatory_Authority_(UAE)" \o "Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (UAE)" Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA). In order to consider a large and commercially branded company, we have taken up the case of Etisalat Telecommunication Company situated in United Arab Emirates. During the period between 1976 and 2006, Etisalat was the sole telecommunication provider company for UAE. In 2006, the monopoly business of Etisalat has become duopoly business with the establishment of a new company called du which started to offer mobile services along with internet and TV services to a large part of UAE (Etisalat, 2015).
