People who work on International assignments would know that it is really amazing to note that people in different cultures behave considerable differently and have different reactions to different situations. Being humans, we naturally think that all people are the same and have same kind of feelings, but no, that’s not the fact. People are different. So, there are all chances for us making very bad decisions if we go to some other country and make decisions on the basis of how we operate in our home country. (Schwartz, 1992)
The culture theory professed by Greet Hofstede gives us an idea of different cultures of different countries which help us in understanding how one should behave in a particular country. It will be able to reduce your anxiety and frustration to a great extent if applied correctly. We shall be analyzing a situation in light of the culture theory by Greet Hofstede. Also we shall provide some solutions and recommendation at the end which might prove to be useful to the firm in question.
