Leisure can be said as freedom that one enjoys both mentally and physically apart from one’s own occupation, business and spends his time free from employment. This is the time at his own command and he is able to rejuvenate himself when he engages himself in his leisure activities. Work life balance is a very broad concept that includes the proper prioritizing between the career on one hand and life which embraces his family, leisure, family, spiritual development on the other hand. Traditionally, the stress management programs were placing the responsibility of reducing the stress on the individual rather than relying on the organization for which he works for. This leads to the loss to him personally as well to the organization on the whole. This paper analyses the importance of leisure in the work/life balance.
