This assignment is based on the following questions –
Question 1
(a) Read through the attached article “Managing Complexity in Kuwaiti Organizations”. After you read through the article, create one spray diagram to summarize the main points of the article. It is advised that students submit hand drawn diagrams as opposed to computer generated ones. Photocopies of diagrams should not be accepted. Reflect on your diagram with no more than 150 words (15% marks)
(b) Based on what you learned in T205A T552 diagramming, draw a multiple cause diagram to show the different causes/sources of complexity in Kuwaiti organizations and their effects on organizational performance Reflect on your diagram with no more than 150 words (15% marks).
(c) “Multiple interpretations of the same facts are possible, depending on the perspective or cultural framework” (Alfadly, 2011). Using an essay format of no more than 2000 words, discuss how an individuals’ worldviews and mental models can affect the quality of his relationships with other and his or her performance in the work place, and then you need to assess the theoretical nature of complexity, and analyze how and why systems/holistic thinking can be helpful for dealing with the sources of complexity facing Kuwaiti organizations nowadays.
