In today’s competitive and volatile business environment organizations can no longer rely on specific strategies, same structure and culture and standard human resource policies. With increasing competition the organizations have to re-invent their strategies bring quick and effective changes in their systems used to carry out their business processes. If the company fails to do so it can lose its market position to its competitors and it will be difficult for the organization to regain the loyalty and trust of the customers. The external environmental factors and the internal environmental factors highly influence organizational performances. The external factors include consumer demands, competition and social and economic conditions etc., which forces the organization to change their business strategy in order to sustain in the market. Similarly the external factors drive the changes in internal environment and organizations require to bring changes within the organization, which include changes in the structure, system and strategy to be able to eliminate the risks of the external environment and to take advantage of the opportunities.
Organizations today need to be highly responsive to the ever-changing market conditions hence it needs to constantly analyse external and internal environment and align the resources in a manner that it can respond effectively to the changes in the external environment. Oman Liquefied Natural Gas LLC (Oman LNG) is a leading and successful company, which specializes in producing and selling Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and its by-product. The company is well-established and faces no competition and has increased backing from the government, which has enabled significant growth in its business. But the company due to no financial constraints and working under a semi-hierarchical structure has ignored to update its systems, which has led to increased inefficiency in the business processes also, the company’s poor human resource policies has created discontent among the employees. The report analyses the factors leading to the inefficiency in the business processes and dissatisfaction among employees. In the end it provides recommendations to overcome these issues.
