Social entrepreneurship is nothing other than to identify the social problems and accomplishing a social change by implementing entrepreneurial principles, operations and process. But it lacks a unified description as various scholars have defined it differently. The gender gap is prevalent in almost every sector. This gender disparity is even evident in the social entrepreneurship. Be it any country women always have to face a barrier in every industry. In this study, the role of gender in social entrepreneurship has been discussed. It is evitable from numerous facts that women are not equally treated with men. Women are facing a barrier to taking up Social entrepreneurship which incorporates discrimination and prejudice, fewer female role models. Financial security is a real concern for female social entrepreneurs.
