Description
Organizational leadership is of great importance since its effectiveness enables organizations to achieve sustained growth. Leadership can be defined as a process wherein the leader influences a group of people to identify the common organizational goal and inspire them work as a team and work collaboratively towards achieving the desired goal (Wardle, 2014). Effective leaders in the organization have the ability to act effectively to different situations strategically instead of using their authority gained by the position they hold. Good leaders have the ability to motivate the employees effectively by identifying the needs and expectations of the followers. Omantel is the first and leading telecommunication company in Oman (Omantel, 2013). The organization provides range of services, which include fixed line services, mobile services and broadband services (Omantel, 2013). The government of Omantel owns the major shares in the organization. Omantel has been contributing significantly to the progress of the country and national development (Omantel, 2013). The organization has been successful in brining latest technologies in broadband to the individual and corporate customers. This report analyses the leadership and motivational issue in the organization, which has led to poor performance of the employees and increasing dissatisfaction of customers with the services.
